Before you buy life insurance through the mail, radio, or television, ask yourself this one question:
Am I really, really sick?
You see, most policies offered through mail, radio, or television are called guaranteed issue life and offer a death benefit that is limited for 2-3 years. They are also expensive. You’ll recognize them because they say things like “you cannot be turned down regardless of health” or something similar. The commercials often feature well-known people as spokespersons.
The fact is most people qualify for much better coverage. You just answer a couple of health questions. If you pass (most do), you will get a death benefit that is in force from day #1. Oh, and you’ll pay less too!
